1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Neighborhood-Nest ("Platform", "Service", "we", "us", or "our"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to these Terms of Use, please do not use our Platform.

2. Description of Service

Neighborhood-Nest is a neighborhood group buying platform that connects residents with local service providers for maintenance and home improvement services. Our Platform facilitates:

• Group service requests within neighborhoods
• Contractor bidding on group services
• Communication between users and contractors
• Tools that help users and contractors communicate and schedule jobs arranged between them. Neighborhood-Nest provides these tools; the jobs themselves are between the parties

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

To use our Platform, you must create an account by providing accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

3.2 User Types

• Residents: Individuals seeking home maintenance services
• Service Providers/Contractors: Independent professionals offering services. Neighborhood-Nest does not currently verify contractor licenses, insurance, or background checks. Homeowners must evaluate contractors themselves before hiring

3.3 Account Verification

All users must verify their email addresses. Contractors may optionally add business profile information. Neighborhood-Nest does not currently verify licenses, insurance, or background checks. If we add verification features in the future, we will disclose them in these Terms and on the Platform.

4. Platform Use

4.1 For Residents

• Create group service requests for your neighborhood
• Participate in existing group services within your ZIP code and 5-mile radius
• Communicate with contractors through our messaging system
• Leave reviews and ratings for completed services

4.2 For Contractors

• Browse and bid on group service requests
• Communicate with potential clients
• Manage multiple contracts and schedules
• Build reputation through customer reviews

5. Payment Terms

5.1 Payment Between the Parties

Homeowners and contractors agree on price and arrange payment directly between themselves. Neighborhood-Nest is not a party to those payments, does not process, hold, or refund them, and is not responsible for payment disputes. Neighborhood-Nest is not the contractor or the service provider. Jobs are arranged between homeowners and contractors.

5.2 Disputes Between Users

Disputes between homeowners and contractors should be resolved directly between the parties first. Neighborhood-Nest may, at its discretion, share payment or job-status records or pause Platform features, but we are not required to mediate, decide who is at fault, or pay for poor workmanship, property damage, delays, or no-shows.

6. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any illegal purpose or in violation of local, state, or federal laws
• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Use automated systems to access the Platform
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Spam or send unsolicited communications
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems

7. Service Quality and Liability

7.1 Platform Role

Neighborhood-Nest is a platform that connects users with contractors. We do not provide services directly and are not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of services provided by contractors. Profiles, reviews, and bids are user-generated. We do not warrant that any contractor is licensed, insured, or suitable for a particular job.

7.2 Contractor Responsibility

Contractors are independent service providers responsible for their own licensing, insurance, work quality, and compliance with local regulations.

7.3 Limitation of Liability

Neighborhood-Nest's liability is limited to the greater of $100 or the amounts paid to Neighborhood-Nest in the prior 12 months. We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from platform use.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which also governs your use of the Platform, to understand our practices regarding the collection and use of your personal information.

9. Intellectual Property

The Platform and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Neighborhood-Nest and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Platform immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms of Use or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

11. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms of Use shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. We will notify users of any changes by posting the new Terms of Use on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
